I was just feeling a type of way in the booth and that was one of the first times I got in the booth without writing anything. I didn’t really have any intention on talking about anything. I’m glad you said that cuz the creative process for that one was hella dope. I would say I was sitting on that for months before I dropped it. I had tracks and singles lined up for days. How long were you sitting on that before you dropped it? After that people started asking me to perform places and shit. Pull Up And Flex, that was actually the song that put me on right now. The whole song is a freestyle… Which one of your songs got the most listens right now? How did that feel? How did that video come together, and what was the criticism like? I actually just got my first negative feedback for my Off-White video. I don’t really thing I’m nice at all these things. How did you come to see you were nice at painting and music? How does it feel to be nice at many things? I got paintings of mine hanging in my crib. Like why not? I feel like if you have more ways to express yourself, then why not? I also draw and paint. Do you see yourself pursuing all of these avenues of expression or just music? You have a jack-of-all-trades thing going on. You play football, skateboard, produce, engineer. You seem to have a lot of venues of expression. Is music something you see yourself pursuing for real? So what year did you move to New York?Ībout 2014-2015. But that was definitely in like 7th grade, we got caught smoking in the parking lot one day. I had a thing with the lunch lady daughter too. I only got kicked out of one school, for smoking. I wanna say it was a lot of moving around. Definitely for middle school, I was in three different middle schools. Sometimes I only stayed for like a month at a school. One in Texas, one in upstate New York, and one down here. Nah, I been to like three different high schools. You went to high school all throughout Texas? Me as a writer, just got a whole lot better. I think when I moved out to New York my writing. You can go on top of a building and just fuck with a different vibe. ![]() ![]() Out here gives you a lot of shit to think about and talk about. What’s the scene like in Houston compared to New York?ĭon’t get me wrong, I fuck with New York but down in Houston is definitely for like. Everybody was listening to Soulja Boy and shit and I was writing to other people’s beats before I started co-producing and producing for my own. 5th grade is when I actually knew I wanted to start and I was writing different types of raps. ![]() And then seriously? When did you first think you had bars and wanted to turn it into a craft? Seriously, or just like period? How long did you know you wanted to try it. The song has good energy.” Tell me about yourself, where are you from? I try to tell him it’s not always like that, sometimes the song just has the energy. “He feels like if he don’t put mad time and energy into a song it’s not good. Leed, a friend accompanying him and fellow rapper adds, It deadass only took me an hour to mix and engineer it, and then I dropped it the following week. I honestly don’t even fuck with that song. You first caught our attention with “Pull Up And Flex”, that was a banger. ![]() I play football, skateboard, produce, engineer, I produce for my friends too. Most people think it’s sentimental or something like that and it’s really not. I really fuck with the name, I felt it was more professional if I went with a stage name.
